These pieces are inspired by the old "burials" or tombs of the pre-Hispanic Muisca culture of Colombia, in which the bodies wrapped in cotton and other fibers were found. These were accompanied by ceramic vessels filled with gold jewels and crystals, so that the beings that transcended to the other plane of existence had everything necessary for their trip. Here I reflect on how we die and are reborn with experiences and changes in our lives and how we transform through challenges resilience and difficult times in growth and expansion.
